The change in CSCS cards for Steel ErectorsPosted March 16, 2017
Major contractors and house builders require all workers to hold a valid CSCS card to prove they hold the right qualifications and training. Previously, a worker would only need basic training to be applicable for a card, which resulted in injuries on site.
The rules have now changed; steel erectors in construction will need a blue (skilled worker) card and applicants must have a level 2 or 3 NVQ in steel erection.
Mainline offer these NVQ’s and all the courses fit within the ECITB and CITB National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ)/ Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF).
