Mainline machines used to help build Belgrade Plaza Student Accommodation
Belgrade Plaza Student Accommodation, in Coventry, was built just in time for the academic year with the help of Mainline equipment.
The luxury student accommodation needed cladding applied to the whole apartment block, to do this they would need various machines so that they could access all parts of the building.
A 14 metre Telehandler was used to unload vehicles and move materials around the site with ease. The building was originally covered with mast climbers but when they got further down the building they took the mast climbers down and used 25 meter diesel scissor lift instead. The cladding was made up of tiles with so it was vital that the platform of the scissor lift was big enough to carry materials. A 10 meter and 15 meter diesel scissor lifts were used to do lower level soffit work. Whilst 5. 5 metre 1930 electric scissor lift was used to do soffit work to the bottom of the ledges.
